DIY Microwave Plasma Experiment

This guy turns his microwave into a DIY plasma generator. Some matches and microwave makes science(stupidity) come to life.

Plasma Theory
In physics and chemistry, a plasma is typically an ionized gas, and is usually considered to be a distinct phase of matter in contrast to solids, liquids, and gases because of its unique properties. “Ionized” means that at least one electron has been dissociated from a proportion of the atoms or molecules. The free electric charges make the plasma electrically conductive so that it responds strongly to electromagnetic fields. wikipedia.org

DIY: Make an alarm system in 3 minutes!

Small little project with a Cubloc CB280 Start Kit evaluation board. This guy shows how easy it is to put together a simple alarm with board, keypad, alarm, and reed switches. The code looks very simple. I have been trying to get this old ass alarm to work in my house. I think it is time for me to try to make something with a PIC micro-controller. Stay tuned for a write up of my project in the near future.
