Talk about being dedicated to roasting coffee. These DIY take it to a whole new level. The contraptions range from rotisserie grills to converted toaster ovens. This page is full of home made rosters from all over the world.

Above is Bob Heydman attempt at a drum style roster built from an old gas grill. The design is based on a collander he bought from a kitchen supply store. The drum rotates like a cement mixer with the attached fins aggregating the coffee as it is being roasted.
